The Alpine Runners Club hosts several training programs, including a spring and fall 5K training program, a summer 10-mile, fall half-marathon training program and a full marathon training program that concludes with the Bank of America Chicago Marathon (race registrations not included). Our summer 10-mile training program leads up to the Alpine Races Sunday, August 18th.
- Saturday long runs with experienced group leaders.

- For Bank of America Chicago Marathon runners, use of the Alpine Runners' VIP Hospitality Room at the Palmer House (subject to availability).

Alpine Runners Spring and Fall 5K Training Program (8 weeks)
The 5K program is a beginning running program; no running experience is needed. It would be to your advantage if you have been walking consistently every other day or more for at least the previous month before the training runs kickoff. Please consult with your medical professional before attempting any physical challenge.
Open to anyone who is able to comfortably walk 30 minutes straight 3–4 times a week.
- Held over an 8-week period starting in May and again in August.
- Training runs are held on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at Paulus Park
- Training is free to Alpine members (single-year membership (link to membership page) is $35.00).

Alpine Runners 10-Mile and Half Marathon Training Programs:
These 14-week training programs will get you from an aerobic fitness level of running 2 miles to finishing a 10-mile or half-marathon race. You should be able to have a fitness level of running up to 15 minutes consistently.
